2009: Careerera is founded.

Careerera’s roots stretch back to 2009 with a vision for how Essential Intelligence could Accelerate Progress in the Digital revolution. Honour, Tradition, and Discipline are embedded into our identity.

2012 Upskilling / Reskilling Accepted as a Real Business Challenge

By 2012, the business community understood that IT skills had a short “shelf life.” IT professionals and their managers had to keep up with a growing stream of new programming languages, computing paradigms, and technologies. Businesses and IT professionals alike recognized that EdTech was a key to navigating the current. Careerera attracted the attention and admiration of people and companies that saw the value of blended learning in teaching new skills quickly and effectively.

2013: Online Classes

We took our classroom online, expanding access to our programs to increase access among underrepresented groups in tech.

2015: Industry Partnerships

Careerera began collaborating with fortune 500 companies to create a customized, 12-week Data Science course which was delivered during the Summer Session.

2015: Flexibility & 1,000 Grads Hired

We released live and flex program schedules, adding more flexibility to the student schedule and ultimately making tech careers possible for more people. We also celebrated a big milestone: our 1,000 th graduate was hired!

2019: Project 1 Million

We started our mission to help 1 million college graduates who do not have the industry-ready skillsets to reach their full potential by giving them comprehensive job-orientated trainings. More than 100,000 college students participated in the 1Million Project program during the 2019-20 academic year.

2021: University Partnerships

Careerera began collaborating with world-class universities to create customized, degree programs designed to Learn in-demand skills and grow your career.

All students can get up to 60 days of 1-on-1 career coaching to support their job search. Career coaches help with resume reviews, mock interviews, personal branding, and strategies to stand out as a candidate.
