Support NAB to identify and understand current, emerging and as-yet-unknown threats to the business
Pre-empt, reduce and prevent financial crime risk
Contribute to the application and refinement of financial crime risk controls
Support NAB and its customers to grow safely
Key responsibilities
Lead the identification and understanding of risks, risk indicators, typologies and other trends that supports business risk decisions and helps meet NAB regulatory obligations in Australia and overseas, including by:
Conducting large data extraction and analysis exercises;
Creating and deploying advanced analytics capabilities; and
Visualisation techniques to support stakeholder outcomes.
Build and maintain relationships across the NAB enterprise, with government agencies, financial institutions and other parties that support the development of timely, relevant and accurate intelligence.
What you will bring
Demonstrated leadership in data science, including :
Leading practitioners and building their knowledge and expertise;
Developing and executing strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Identifying and driving opportunities to enhance NAB’s intelligence and risk assessment capability.
Strong analytics experience, including:
programming languages such as SQL, SAS, Python and PySpark
data mining and work with large structured and unstructured data sets to identify new and emerging patterns/trends
Experience with development of advanced analytic models in AWS
Hands-on-experience with deploying advanced analytics solutions based on machine learning and statistical predictive algorithms
Utilise data visualisation tools to deliver insights to stakeholders.
Proven history in delivering strategic initiatives or transformation that positively change and drive business performance in a sustainable and safe manner.
