Role Purpose:
This role is responsible for doing comparative analysis on commercial sales and marketing efforts for both our TOYS & EDGE business units globally, with the key objective of identifying key insights that support ZURUs international growth. A passion for Data Science and adapting to a rapidly evolving ecosystem is highly encouraged as this role will start working with bleeding-edge tech to drive technical analysis.
Core Remit:
Help the measurement, benchmarking & optimization of Marketing & Commercial to create business impact
Contribute to Data Science Methodologies and statistical approaches to measurement
BI reporting: making new/modifying existing dashboards to stakeholder specifications
Communicate & collaborate with performance teams, brand teams, external partners or even directly with our executive team, e.g. to business case measurement resource requirements
Help deliver measurement methods like cannibalisation, cross channel attribution, media mix modelling, propensity to purchase/churn, global benchmarking, correlation regression analysis, time series sequencing & econometrics etc with a roadmap around these as we advance over time.
Contribute & consult on wider business data & analytics in general, as they relate to considerations from your disciplines or expertise. Working with or leading related offshore resources as required.
Contribute to global measurement strategy & execution across both parent & child TOYS journeys, EDGE FMCG retail journeys, as well as full purchase cycle ecommerce journeys.
Skills & Experience Required:
2 to 4 years’ experience in a technical analyst role (financial, manufacturing, commercial or similar), with experience applying ML models (NLP especially) a significant plus.
Ability to multi-task and be able to set priorities, stay focused, and set clear milestones.
A go-getter with energy and determination to continuously improve and push boundaries.
Superior verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills.
Strong Excel skills.
Confident ability in Python/R.
Experience in SQL or other similar querying language a significant plus.
Enthusiastic about BI reporting, with some experience in Tableau/ PowerBI (Tableau preferred).
Some understanding/experience of modern data warehouses/machine learning platforms like Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS RedShift or BigQuery.
Some understanding/willingness to learn modern data warehouses/machine learning in the AWS environment.
Some understanding of MarTech, (ie Google Analytics/ FaceBook Ads) a plus.
