• Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
• Develop machine learning models for both supervised and unsupervised learning cases
• Design experiments to test data assumptions
• Apply data analysis, data mining and data processing to present data clearly
• Work with development team to build tools for data logging and repeatable data tasks to accelerate and automate Data Science

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science or equivalent degree in a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques like predictive modeling, regressions models, cross section time series models, longitudinal data analysis, evidence based modeling and various Clustering algorithms
• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing
• Working experience with Python with models
• Proven communication skills to explain insights from technical work to non-technical audience through presentation or other means
• Ability to work as a team player, maintaining a positive attitude in collaborative tasks
• Professional command of English language supported with certificates or professional experience
• Living in Istanbul (or willing to move). Being able to commute to Altunizade.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau
• Working experience with biological data
• Having a research experience in theoretical and/or cognitive/behavioral neuroscience or neurodegenerative disease.
