Job Description :

Data Scientist will work directly work and assist Portfolio managers with converting datasets and sector trackers from Excel to Tableau visualization using Python/SQL architecture. He will also supply detailed analytics based on data sets to support investment themes & will learn fundamental L/S hard and soft skills including modeling, sector and secular trends across multiple industrial and consumer sectors.

• Key Responsibilities
• Convert our data sets from Excel/VBA to Tableau
• Manage existing database, ensuring data is stored logically, efficiently and following best practices
• Improve the quality of existing datasets, ensuring data is clean and reliable and merging with the different sources to create an official “best” data.
• Monitor trends across more than 2,000 data sets
• Bring new datasets on board, work with MLP data teams to expand available inputs, especially in less liquid products
• Create automated solutions that make existing data collection and signal identification processes more efficient and scalable

Qualifications/Skills Required

• Extensive experience in Tableau, Python , SQL and database management, other programming languages a plus
• Expertise in systems design, front and back end development
• Exposure to financial markets
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
