The candidate will be a part of the Advanced Analytics team and will be tasked with assisting in the development and execution of robust analytical solutions to various parts of the Singapore business. The candidate must have a passion for how data can be leveraged and used to drive deeper, meaningful insights that enhance the customer experience, grow our businesses, minimize risk and engage our employees.

We are looking for someone with: 

• University degree with a quantitative degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent program
• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task. Ability to work with minimal or no supervision while performing duties; has the ability and initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish department activities or goals and be a strong team player.
• Extensive expertise in data technologies and the use of reporting and analytics tool development. Particular focus on understanding the use of Cloud (Azure) and Hadoop-based technologies and programming or scripting languages like Java, Scala, Linux, C++, Python, R and SAS Base.
• Experience working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sets, determining the key takeaways or action items and communicating them pictorially
• Working knowledge of regarding different (NoSQL or RDBMS) databases such as MS SQL server, DB2, Hawq/HDB, MongoDB, Cassandra or Hbase;
• Hands-on experience in writing complex and optimized SQL queries across different data sets.
• Experience with scripting (Shell, Python) in a Linux environment.

Nice To Have

• Experience and capability in translating non-technical user requests into complex technical specifications and solutions that meet these requirements
• Experience in big data/data reporting and Business Intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos …etc)
• Knowledge of database architecture and HDFS, Map Reduce, Presto, Hive, Impala, Spark, Databricks or similar
• Experience working with and creating restful APIs.
• Good to have experience in Python for data science –NumPy, matplotlib, pandas data frame, Jupyter notebooks

 

On the job you will: 

• Work closely with Data Scientists and business stakeholders to analyses, design and deliver curation and pipeline solutions for complex data sets to enable Advanced Analytics use cases.
• Design and delivery appropriate MLOps procedures to automate model execution
• Develops and Implements ad-hoc business analytics and reports of diverse projects
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design and data models that deliver self-service analytical capabilities to the business users
• Work with IT stakeholders in joint creation of core curation tables to support Business Intelligence and self-service across the organisation.
• Develop and manage a change management plan which will, train end-users to access reports/dashboard, locate documentation, and adopt to new technology.
• Adhere to and enhance data governance and quality procedures to ensure continued data enrichment and alignment to governance standards.
