Job Description :

Avanade, a leading developer of Analytics solutions with Microsoft technologies, is selecting a Data Engineer to work within the Analytics team for the Avanade Engineering Hub Italy at its Headquarters in Perugia.

Your role:

You will be responsible for designing the architecture and implementing data infrastructures in projects for major clients in the Automotive, Insurance and Banking, Energy and Resources sectors, you will work on both on-premise and cloud platforms.

Responsibility:

Collection and analysis of functional requirements

Data warehouse management and implementation

Data Flow Governance

Drawing the Data ModeL

Implementation of data pipelines and data ingestion systems (ETL)

Implementing Reports and Dashboards (PBIs)

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and of principles and techniques of modeling a Database.

Knowledge and experience in the use of the main languages used in Analytics projects (T-SQL, DAX, MDX, U-SQL, C#).

Experience in data extraction, transformation and loading (SSIS, ADF, Talend).

Experience on multidimensional and/or tabular models.

Analytical skills and good overview.

Problem solving and reasoning skills.

Communication skills and experience in managing resource teams.

Knowledge of some of the main components of Azure Analytics will be considered a preferential requirement:

Azure Storage

Azure Data Processing Technologies (e.g. DataFactory, Spark, DataBricks)

Azure Big Data Technologies (Databricks, CosmosDB, Synapse)

The achievement of at least one of the following certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solution Architect Expert, Databricks Certified Developer.

Excellent knowledge of English is required, both written and oral.
