Job Description

We are looking for a junior to intermediate data engineer to join our team in the Kuala Lumpur office. For this role, you will need a broad of knowledge of data analysis with practical coding experience.

Your primary role will be working with the machine learning engineers to:

• Extract data from various sources (websites, xml, csv, API, custom file formats)
• Build and setup data pipelines
• Automate data cleansing and pre-processing
• Setting up automated monitoring tools to detect errors or missing data

Requirements

• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Software development experience in Python
• Familiarity with libraries used for web scraping (e.g., requests, lxml)
• Experience developing against a version control system (e.g. Git and Github)
• Experience using Linux-based systems (preferably AWS and Ubuntu)
