What’s it like working as a Principal, Cybersecurity Governance at Questrade?

As Principal, Cybersecurity Governance, you will be responsible for organizational cybersecurity strategy, culture, governance, framework and architecture. You will focus on maintaining a mature cybersecurity governance program across all Questrade entities and lines of business in the highly regulated financial services industry.

Working in the CISO organization and reporting to the Sr. Manager, Cybersecurity Strategy, you will possess extensive experience and certifications and use your subject matter expertise to drive cybersecurity governance for the organization.

You will work collaboratively with technology and business peers within the CISO organization and across Questrade to continuously improve our cybersecurity posture despite existing and new threats.

• Establish a cybersecurity framework and ensure organizational alignment
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and standards and drive adoption throughout the organization
• Respond to audits and complete attestations as required for internal and regulatory compliance
• Advise peers and business areas on cybersecurity governance methodology, framework and compliance with policies and standards
• Continuously enhance organizational cybersecurity culture and drive cybersecurity awareness
• You will possess strong subject matter expertise in a wide range of cybersecurity domains, cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory compliance and use it to empower the CISO organization to support the Questrade business vision.
• Identify missing technical controls or lacking process capabilities and develop business cases to address the gaps
• Work closely with IT Governance and with others in CISO organization to produce cybersecurity presentations and regular reporting to management, board and regulators
• Produce and maintain the necessary artifacts to support regulatory compliance
• Develop KPIs and KRIs to measure and report on cybersecurity risk and compliance via a combination of reports and analytics dashboards, with the team utilizing relevant analytics, GRC and Continuous Compliance Management solutions
   

So are YOU our next Principal, Cybersecurity Governance? You are if you have…

• 5+ years of solid cybersecurity experience
• Previous experience working in financial services or other regulated or critical infrastructure sectors is preferred
• University/Community College Business Administration, Information Technology or Engineering degree/diploma (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF
• Extensive knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC, ISO, COBIT, and CMMC
• Relevant certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, CISA, SSCP, CISM and CASP+
• Impeccable communication skills (written and oral)
• Project management and coordination skills
