The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a web developer to be exposed to a wide range of activities and technologies in a thriving and highly technical environment. You will be working to develop solutions and support the existing products and services we deliver to our clients. This role requires a deep knowledge of good development practices, a range of client/server web applications developed using Cloud platform and services.

As a functional analyst you will be working as developer across services delivery by Data Platforms team. The Data Platforms team provides database support and data services via web interfaces as part of the Digital Technology Group. You’ll join a growing and collaborative team with a range of skills and experiences, based mainly in the UK and Asia Pacific region. In this role y ou will be engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify the root cause of data issues.

The Responsibilities Of This Role Include
 

• Collaborating with other teams to investigate complex data problems
• Contributing towards creating and maintaining automated test cases to ensure quality of every software release deployed for stakeholders
• Integrating solutions with other applications and technology platforms based on solution requirements
• Developing changes, enhancements and scripted solutions and automation to drive continuous improvements
• Performing routine maintenance tasks of existing service and applications and recommend improvements and deliver hot fixes to live issues
• Analysing health check of existing services and provides feedback
• Recommending continuous improvements to systems availability, reliability, and performance
• Monitoring ticketing queue and responds to service requests or incidents
• Researching and evaluating emerging technologies, including emerging software development practices and patterns

Requirements And Skills

Essential skills and knowledge:
 

• At least 3 years' worth of development experience in a web-technologies and proficient in C#, ASP.NET, SQL, JavaScript and browser-based frameworks (e.g. JQuery, React, Vue, Angular and MS Blazor)
• Hands on experience on ASP.NET Core WebAPI and MVC framework
• Experience of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web technologies and tools
• Strong SQL skills for querying, exploring large data sets and interpretation
• Good understand of ORMs like entity framework and EF Core
• Hands on experience of writing unit, integration, E2E and performance test using C#
• Hands on experience of Azure cloud technologies
• Working experience in agile development and CI/CD mythologies
• Proficiency working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint
   

Desirable Skills And Knowledge
 

• Knowledge and understanding of developing dashboards using PowerBI and DAX
• Strong experience using Git version control or similar version controls
• Working experience of automated release deployment
