A fantastic opportunity to join one of Somerset’s best digital agencies at their office in Frome building a wide range of digital products for some amazing international clients. We’re looking for a Web Developer with a weighting towards back-end PHP development to help build websites, landing pages, portals, campaign sites and the odd interactive quiz for businesses trying to reduce their carbon footprint. The company themselves are working on becoming Net Zero in a very short space of time, if you’re passionate about coding for a good cause then this one is for you!

• Remote working with trips to Frome office once a week.

What Skills Will You Be Needing

• PHP.
• MVC (They work with Laravel but Symfony or other is fine).
• CMS (They work with Craft but WordPress, Drupal or other is fine).
• MySQL.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery/Vue.js.
• GIT.
• Any of the following would be great; Twig templates, Composer, NPM, SASS, and testing frameworks
• If you have any App development capabilities or experience of working with Adobe Creative Cloud that would be amazing.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a key role within the digital team and you’ll be asked to help deliver quality driven web projects for environmentally conscious clients. They’re keen to hear from developers who are passionate about code and user experience and can think creatively and innovatively to solve problems. You’ll need good time management skills and proven experience of working a project from creating specs to delivery. The core part of the role will be to wireframe, develop and deploy new websites adhering to latest web standards and using the latest tools. You’ll be working on anything from CMS-powered corporate sites to SPAs and APIs. There’s an opportunity to take ownership of projects from a technical perspective and really help the business thrive.
