Job Description :

Position Summary

• UI Web Development

Creation of new JavaScript, HMTL and CSS and maintenance of existing code according to agreed designs including:

• Mobile-responsive websites
• Mobile-responsive campaign pages and mini sites
• HTML emails
• Bespoke functionality (e.g. calculators)
• Cross browser/device testing
• Application security and security standards
• Compliance with accessibility standards
• Working with products including Ultracs CMS, My Viewpoint, etc.
• Prototyping support as appropriate
• Team
• Collaborate across the Innovation team to identify opportunities and constraints within the coding interface
• Provide input on current best practice in UI development
• Documentation and reporting
• Assist with the creation of product/solution documentation in support of Product Development Life Cycle
• Recording of all project progress through appropriate project management tools
• Other duties
• Other duties as directed by your Manager from time to time.
• QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in related field

Experience

• A minimum of 2-4 years front-end web development experience
• Experience developing and debugging responsive web sites and testing for cross browser compatibility
• Experiencing working with CMS solutions, ideally using Razor
• Experience with at least one of the major JavaScript frameworks preferably Angular2 though React would also be considered favourably
• Experience in jQuery, HTML, CSS, SASS/LESS, AJAX, Bootstrap
• Experienced working within code repositories ideally GitHUb or TFS
• Passionate about JavaScript technologies
• A team player with a love for sharing knowledge
• Some knowledge around accessibility standards
• Knowledge of the approach to coding for site performance
• Experienced in using Developer tools to analyse website behaviour and performance
• Experience with Package Managers

• Ability to deliver sites to the specified design that encompass accessibility best practice and are optimised for site performance
