The Role

Typically:

• Works largely independently within defined projects/work streams and is checked on end results.
• The ITAS QA is responsible to gather business requirements, and work with Project Team to meet their business needs and take care of Accessibility related Testing.

Your further responsibilities will include:

• The ITAS QA will develop a deep understanding of the ITAS Testing tools offered in Shell IT landscape, ITAS Accessibility Design Standards
• Own responsibility to design & deliver necessary artifacts during the evaluation of ITAS Testing tools, assist in terms of Training and community building exercise
• We are seeking an individual with proven Implementation and Quality assurance background along with fundamental knowledge about overall IT Projects and SaaS related Products
• You should demonstrate ability to think and communicate impact from the viewpoint of Accessibility ,functional and stakeholder management considerations in their work
• Good understanding of Web Content and Mobile Accessibility Standards and Laws wrt different geographies
• Hands-on experience in testing applications/websites to ensure conformance to WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA standards and upgrade accordingly to higher levels when needed
• Thorough knowledge in Principles of Accessibility(POUR) and Guidelines for WAI-ARIA.
• Work with Solution Architects, Product Owners, BA’s and Developers to understand Accessibility requirements and come up with detailed Accessibility test strategies
• Thorough understanding of W3C standards-compliant HTML ,CSS components using ARIA attributes and Landmark roles
• Good hands-on experience in using assistive technologies such as JAWS Screen Reader, Dragon Naturally Speaking, WCAG Color Contrast Checker and aXE Dev Tools
• Hands on experience in using Accessibility Testing Tools for Mobile Application – Talk Back for Android and Voice Over for IOS
• Hands-on experience in testing Desktop, Standalone applications and proficient in checking accessibility issues in HTML, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, PPT, etc. documents
• Good hands on in assessing Market Standard/SaaS/Vendor provided applications and performing dip stick assessment on the ITAS Compliance reports
• Good to have knowledge of online tools like Accessibility Scanner, Accessibility Inspector, Mobile Web Accessibility Checker
