    Job Description

    • Advanced technology professional participating in technical design, development, and implementation of application systems in their domain.
    • Interfaces with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and clients to clarify requirements.

    Works independently to develop, configure, code and test programs of varying complexity and scope.

    • Presents all work in design review and code review sessions and can articulate support decisions made and actions taken.
    • Contributes to design specifications for assigned work within defined architecture, utilizing standard procedures and techniques
    • Works independently to prepares documentation that describes installation and operating procedures, including application user guides.
    • Provides first and second level operational support for production systems when necessary.
    • Assists other team members with tackling support.
    • Tests own work and supports test reviews. Makes a major contribution to the development of test plans, coordinates activities with QA and Product team, and participates in post-implementation reviews.
    • Provides input related to the technical design of new applications/systems and architecture.
    • Assists other team members with their assignments (e.g., onboarding junior team members).
    • Contributes to analysis to establish improvements to legacy systems to increase stability and availability.
    • Contributes to feasibility analysis for new systems.
    • Strong working knowledge of the relevant programming languages, tools, and technologies for the area supported.
    • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
    • Strong working understanding of installed systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve most problems on the existing systems supported.
    • Understanding of key technical architectural components and how they should be factored into decisions and recommendations.
    • Ability to lead team in building automated tests and building release and deployment pipelines across applications delivered.
    • Contributes to the development of plans, provides estimates, identifies key milestones, and raises critical issues such as technical constraints or resource needs and proposes alternative solutions.
    • Contributes to the SDLC and is actively fostering adherence to it.

    Assists in the analysis of vendor proposals and the evaluation of build versus buy considerations.

    • Typically, responsible for completion of artifacts or components of a larger initiative.

    Understands the structure and processes of the QRG Technology organization, including the roles of team members and the information and/or resources they may require.

    • Keeps up to date on the changing business needs for the area supported and the subsequent impact on applications.
    • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of business processes/functions pertaining to a specific business unit
    • Demonstrates expert knowledge and understanding of all applications and systems within a specific business unit
    • Builds and promotes integration across systems including applications outside of their area of responsibility
    • Possesses solid understanding of the retail industry

    • Leads the execution of work and provides day-to-day technical leadership/ guidance to the delivery team.
    • Functions independently and receives limited direction. Work in progress is reviewed as required.
    • Selects appropriate work procedures or approaches to address technical challenges, consistent with appropriate standards and policies.
    • Escalates issues to the appropriate party when required. Plans and communicates applications changes to IT team members.
    • Provides guidance to other team members with their assignments (e.g., onboarding junior team members).

    Requirement

    • BS in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience
    • Minimum Experience: 5+ years of related experience
