Key Responsibilities

• Build software, data sources, platforms and systems that utilise automation to deliver efficiencies and performance.
• Encourage and empower the team to work with development and cross-functional teams, influencing at a team level.
• Apply intermediate knowledge and skills to translate user requirements, business and industry needs into viable code and technical solutions.
• Apply operational knowledge to solve customer and operational problems using software and automation.
• Provide subject matter technical knowledge for on-going monitoring, maintenance, escalation and issue resolution in a 24/7 production environment.
• Effectively explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences (and coach others to do the same).
• Ensure governance and design standards, update and maintain technical documentation.
• Technical lead, provide guidance and recommendations, apply commercial acumen.
• Research, exploring and evaluating new technologies.
• Technology coaching and mentoring, encouraging team members to collaborate and adopt a continuous improvement mindset.
• Design, code, implement customer oriented product and solution features and functionality.

About You

• Typically a degree, certification, qualification or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience in component/ cloud/ web development environments.
• Proven experience and ability in one or more of: Java / Spring Boot, Microservices, Data Integration and User Experience (UX) Frameworks.
• Messaging/ Middleware technologies experience a plus.
• Demonstrated operational monitoring and support knowledge and experience.
