Who are we:

Quest is a platform that enables everyday people to earn by solving everyday problems. Think real-world "RPG" where you can undertake quests as Heroes to earn. Quest is a venture-backed start-up supported by Enterprise Singapore, National Youth Council, SMU's Business Innovations Generator (BIG) by IIE, and global early-stage VC Antler. Within 3 weeks of launch, the Quest mobile app reached #1 on the Lifestyle charts and #5 overall. Since September, Quest has been a part of Antler's SG9 Cohort.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our Quest Team as a core team member. More than just being an engineer, you should be entrepreneurial and wish to pursue a career in a start-up and tech industry. You will be a key member in developing core features in the mobile app and scaling the platform overseas. Responsibilities:

• Work hand in hand with CTO to build personalised and custom features for users
• Collaborate with the Product and UI/UX team to design, build and extend the platform and its features
• Develop and establish standard code that serves as foundation to future projects
• Turn user feedback into customer solutions in order to enhance app performance and efficiency
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements
• Dive into problems users face and contribute ideas to solve or further improve the current mobile application

Good to Have:

• Knowledge and experience in Database Design and Administration
• Experience in DevOps
• Knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture

What we are looking for:

• Fluency in Javascript. Knowledge in service oriented architecture and experience in DevOps would be an advantage
• Hands-on experience in building functional and effective platforms
• Passionate about software development, problem-solving and technical challenges
• Strong technical portfolio that showcases broad range of abilities
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a high-paced environment
• Self-learning and able to pick up new skills to implement
• Able to commit min 6 months.
• Bonus: Knowledge and experience in Database Design and Administration. Experience working in an incubator, or established startup.
