Job Description
Our passionate Platforms team develops the Brainlab hardware for our future image-guided surgery and Digital O.R portfolio. These state-of-the-art medical systems offer our customers easy access to the Brainlab software capabilities of today and tomorrow.
As a software engineer within our team, you will design innovative 4k augmented reality real-time video processing solution software on custom, highly specialized video hardware and will be part of a highly motivated team of technical experts.
Your tasks will span the entire process of hardware specific software development and include:
specification, implementation, testing and debugging of software components
realization of real-time software solutions mainly using C/C++ on Linux and RTOS platforms
contribution to technical documentation
close collaboration with software, hardware, and quality engineers
communication with external industry partners on a technical level
Qualifications
Required
university degree in computer science, physics, engineering or a related discipline
knowledge of C/C++
experience with embedded Linux or real-time RTOS/bare metal
experience in project work and pleasure of being part of a team
ability to work proactively and self-organized
fluency in English (German is a plus)
Desirable (one or more)
interest in working with build systems like Yocto (Bash Scripting/Systemd/Python)
interest in Linux kernel driver development (DMA, DRM/KMS, PTP, …)
digital image processing (classical and AI)
experience in application development (gstreamer, OpenCV, C/C++)
experience with ARM Cortex-R in bare metal or RTOS (FSBL, multiple hw drivers)
familiar with Xilinx MPSoCs
knowledge in basics Web development (HTML, Javascript, REST)
