About the Role

The healthcare landscape is rapidly changing, and we are looking for a person that wants to help lead that change. As a software engineer you will be a key contributor to the business - empowered to make a meaningful contribution to the team, our customers and healthcare markets.

You will work on our flagship products HIBIS and Gamma and contribute to as a full-stack developer in our front-end applications team. This role will play a key part in the success of the business developing new features and exposing value to both our Australian and US clients.

About you

You will be looking for a role where you can make your mark on the company and our products through software development.

You are a champion of best-practices and strategic direction of front-end engineering.

What will you do?

• Model best practice software development
• Analyse, architect, design, code, test and deploy applications
• Implement and support applications that enable efficient and secure operations in the company
• Develop solutions that improve performance and scalability of systems
• Understand and evaluate complex data models in our products
• Be a proactive and collaborative team member in an Agile environment
• Follow company’s software development process and drive continuous improvement of this process
• Assist with Company growth activities as required
• Requirements capture and scoping
• Design and development tasks to our process
• System operations/incident response
• Optimisation for cost and/or performance
• Peer work review
• Several days of training/courses each year

Desired Skills & Experience

• University degree in computer science or engineering

• 3 years’ experience as a software engineer
• Full stack developer
• DevOps experience

• Languages (Required): React/JavaScript/HTML, Java, AWS CloudFormation (or other cloud services Infrastructure-as-code)
• Languages (Desired): Java, Python/Apache Airflow
