Mode

Full-time, hybrid (half remote, half on-site)

Responsibilities

• Develops web crawler to collect data from different websites
• Builds a MySQL database to store the collected data
• Implements key modules of a web-based search engine based on given materials
• Implements natural language processing algorithms (e.g., topic model, TF-IDF, sentiment analysis) under the supervision of senior software engineer
• Implements machine learning algorithms (e.g., logistic regression, SVM) under the supervision of senior software engineer
• Writes work reports and communicates with senior software engineers

Qualifications

• Ability to write and edit English technical documentation
• Knowledge of PHP, JSP, HTML, CSS, and . NET
• Hands-on experience with web development (preferred)
• Knowledge of natural language processing algorithms or implementations
• Knowledge of machine learning implementations
• Hands-on experience with Python/Java programming

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information technology, or related STEM field from the world’s top 100 universities or universities in Hong Kong
