Dimension

This role of a Software Engineer is for ERP (Technical) Capability Center that will focus on defining solutions for Shell business and customers that leverage SAP technology to manage business applications on ERP. It is an individual contributor role (i.e. no direct reports) who will be based out of SBO, Bangalore and will invest significant time working in partnership with Business Analysts, IT and business stakeholders and Process Leads to identify, define and develop solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems. S/he will have deep knowledge of the IT infrastructure setup and will drive the integration of the new system/platform into Shell IT landscape. Job Description

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or IT (or equivalent) or business administration or applicable work experience.
• Candidate must have 4+ years of solid SAP Development experience.
• Candidate must possess a strong combination of technical and analytical skills and will architect, design and develop robust SAP solutions in close collaboration with our business analysts and business stakeholders.
• Candidate should have a strong technical ability in SAP along with stakeholder management skills, great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
• Designs, develops, codes, specifications, and test programs for SAP modules and functions using ABAP programming language.
• Proficient in ABAP programming, testing and debugging work related to the implementation, enhancement and support of various SAP functional areas.
• Works with SAP business analysts to formalize specifications for custom development.
• Identify feasible solutions within SAP framework and estimate effort needed to meet those technical requirements and gaps.
• Review functional specifications to ensure completeness in preparation for development of custom objects.
• Manages multiple assignments while concurrently fulfilling on-going application support and maintenance responsibilities.
• Works with internal and external technical resources to implement continuous improvements.
• Collaborates with other analysts to ensure system and procedural changes have minimum or no impact on other application areas and workstreams.
• Documents system changes and results per systems development life cycle requirements and audit guidelines.
• Creates specialized reports for SAP modules using ABAP programming language.
• Support technical requirement gathering, develop prototypes/PoCs/recommend solutions with limited information from the business, delivery quality Technical specifications and documentation.

IT Knowledge

• 2+ full life cycle implementations/roll outs (bare minimum: no exceptions)

• Demonstrated development experience in SAP Sales & Distribution, Material Management, FI/CO, PM.
• Strong self-propelled leadership skills and results oriented.

• Experience with SCRUM or other Agile/Lean development methodologies
• Experience with HANA, UI5, FIORI, ODATA, NetWeaver
