Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth.

Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We are looking for a seasoned engineer to help us deliver highly scalable services and world-class product experiences.

You will have opportunities to work on multiple layers of the technology stack, ranging from customer-focused user experience work, building scalable distributed cloud services, working with big data, machine learning, and everything in between.

If you are comfortable working in a start-up/v1 effort, enjoy creating and incrementally marching to towards a well-defined long-term architecture, and are motivated by solving hard business process problems with technology then this could be the position for you.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Contribute to a high-functioning feature team.

- You will collaborate closely with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them.

- Help contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, low latency capacity planning system.

- Drive innovations leveraging big data, ML techniques and distributed systems to deliver business results.

- Help gather, define, cost, and implement engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent ecperience.
• 3+ years of experience with design and development of software platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to quickly pick up existing concepts and employ new techniques.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Solid track-record of working with partner teams and managing dependencies
• Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft cloud infrastructure, Azure or Bing experience will be a plus.
• Experience in Big data and streaming platforms like Strom, Hadoop, Cosmos and machine learning experience will be a strong plus.
• Experience in Supply Chain is not required but is desirable.
