What You’ll Achieve

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of new software technology enabling Dell to address the demands of 5G wireless solutions.   You will work within a global development team, actively collaborating with our technical and business leaders as part of an intrapreneurial team building a new business from the ground up.  From applied research to advanced engineering, Dell’s 5G R&D team will design and develop ground-breaking products & solutions. You will:

• Design & develop 5G Solution Platform & Orchestration Software.
• Participate in creation and review of design document that will drive the implementation of 5G Solution Platform & Orchestration Software
• Implement and unit test key features, per implementation plans and design documents
• Work to identify and drive improvements, integration and test automation
• Work closely with the verification group to ensure the completeness, quality and performance of the implemented functionality

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• 2+ Years of working experience as a Software Engineer
• Intermediate-level programming experience with a statically typed, compiled language
• Experience with microservices architecture and technologies (REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
• Experience in product development (R&D)
• Self starter, team player that thrives in a dynamic, changing environment
   

Desirable Requirements

• Previous knowledge about 5G is a plus but not a mandatory prerequisite
• Experience with Go programming language
• Experience with Network Function Virtualization and orchestration
• Experience with the NETCONF protocol
