The Company

This Government Department, who is committed to delivering services to help Queenslanders live a better life by putting people at the centre of everything they do, is currently seeking for a Senior DevOps Specialist for their large whole of government greenfield project.

About The Role

In this 12-month contract you will be the most senior member of this team. You will have a great opportunity to work on their exciting greenfield project and help shape a new DevOps way of working. The position provides leadership, expertise and advice in the development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Play a senior role within the team responsible for product development and enhancements to the common integration platforms.
• Provide hands-on solutions for the Digital Identity and GraphQL integrations and services.
• Work in a collaborative team that has a product-centric mindset, constant iterating and improving to deliver quality products and services.
• Ensure that all operations, process, and practices operate within all relevant legislative and government standards.

About You

• Strong coding experience in Java, Node.js. GraphQL, Bash and Python.
• Experience with cloud technologies on AWS and equivalent such as Azure, GCP. Containers and Kubernetes deployment platforms preferred
• Experience with continuous integration/delivery and source code management tools including GitHub, Go.cd, Argo.
• Experience with security and identity practises, including OpenID Connect (OIDC) and OAuth 2.0 token management.
• Ability to work and provide guidance in an agile and DevSecOps environment with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
