Maters Digital Technology and Information division is looking for a .Net Software Developer to join our Data and Digital Solutions team. Reporting into the Service Manager – Software Development, you will be integral in building high-quality, innovative and fully performing maintainable software.
What You’ll Be Doing
Typical tasks will include;
Undertake development & documentation of technical design specifications
Contributes to knowledge sharing by documenting in Corporate Document Management systems
Address consumer needs, by breaking down requirements into development tasks for tracking and delivery
Contributes towards opportunities identified for continuous improvement
Demonstrates problem-solving skills to triage defects or develop solutions by understanding requirements for development
Design, Build, unit test and maintain solutions for various initiatives
Contributes and assists the team lead towards development & maintenance of the work backlogs.
Provides support for debugging production issues and identifying potential fixes
Undertake production support activities as part of team’s roster
Undertake triage of tickets received in service management platform
About You
Ideally, we are looking for people who are/have;
Effectively manages multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines
Experience in designing & creating applications using Microsoft ASP.NET, Microsoft C# programming in MS Visual Studio, Node Js
Experience in working with front end technologies such as React, Vue, CSS, Ajax
Demonstrated experience in using CI/CD tools such as Octopus, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub
Ability to program in various programming languages including – C#, .Net, Java, Python, VB
Experience in development of interfaces using API – SOAP, REST. Experience in Open API 3.0,
Azure Integration services is desirable
Broad knowledge of current development tools and technologies (Middleware and integration software, SQL, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps etc)
Experience in using source control tools such as GitHub, Azure Repos, Bit Bucket
Expert levels of both written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project or similar products
Obsessed with solving those problems effectively
Knowledge in ITIL functions
Experience with working in Agile, Waterfall delivery models
