Who we are

Paraşüt is an Istanbul-based startup developing a SaaS financial management application to empower small businesses in Turkey. For two years in a row, Wired Magazine named us as one of Europe's hottest startups. We are led by three seasoned co founders with deep expertise in technology, design, & finance; and backed by VCs from Silicon Valley and Istanbul. Very recently, we have joined Mikro Yazılım and Zirve Yazılım under the DST Technology roof. DST Technology is funded by Turkven & Earlybird.

Our product development teams consist of developers, designers and product managers, who work closely with each other and other departments to solve business problems. What you will do

• You will be mainly working on our API and frontend. More importantly, we expect you to spend time understanding the users, be comfortable with examining data, come up with ideas and test these ideas in an efficient manner. You will rarely be given tasks in the form of "implement this functionality".
• Your responsibility is to develop a product that users love. Most of your assignments will require you to show strong team work with a sense of accountability.
• Besides these, you are expected to step outside of your comfort zone to learn new technologies and prototype solutions to solve technical challenges we face as a result of our fast growing user base.

What we are looking for

• We believe languages/frameworks are just tools to express your creativity and it's what you build with these tools that matter.
• We mostly use Ruby and Javascript in our stack, however we welcome people with different technical backgrounds. If you are familiar with what we use, great. You will still learn a great deal at Paraşüt ranging from the business side of things to new shiny technologies.
