    The Opportunity

    The Boeing Phantomworks InternationalSystems Analysis Laboratory is a world leading digital organisation specialising in advanced development of military capabilities, modelling and simulation, autonomy and sustainability. We are seeking a number of Software Engineersacross a range of disciplines to join the organization and help turn science fiction into reality.

    The Systems Analysis Laboratory is the focal point in Australia for Autonomy, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning/Machine Vision, Digital Modelling and Military Capability Development. The SAL has recently stood up an Australian first hub for Sustainable Aviation and Future Mobility which will champion the introduction of environmentally and socially conscious capability to Civilian and Defence Aviation.

    As our portfolio continues to grow and develop, we need the best and brightest of the next generation to help us move faster, more creatively and solve the problems of the future. These roles will be based in Brisbane.

    Experience/Qualifications
     

    • A tertiary qualification in Software Engineering (or related disciplines)
    • Knowledge and experience in the application of contemporary Agile Software Development principles.
    • Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering team in a Defence environment
    • A passion for problem solving, technology “tinkering” and an eye for detail.
    • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an NV-1 clearance as a minimum
       

    Preferred software engineering skills would include one or more of the following:
     

    • Demonstrated working knowledge of C++ programming language
    • JavaScript, Java, HTML and a range of other languages.
    • UI/UX Design and Implementation
    • Unreal Engine game and simulation development
    • Experience with Real Time Operating Systems.
    • Experience with Monte Carlo Simulations
    • Exposure to and Experience with SCRUM/KANBAN/SAFe PM frameworks.
