The GitLab DevOps platform empowers 100,000+ organizations to deliver software faster and more efficiently. We are one of the world’s largest all-remote companies with 1,600+ team members and values that guide a culture where people embrace the belief that everyone can contribute.
Our entire handbook is public. You can find the details of our vision & direction , read through the direction of our Incubation department , and track the OKRs that guide our Single Engineer Groups (SEG) .
A Brief Overview
As a Fullstack Engineer, Senior Fullstack Engineer, or Staff Fullstack Engineer in the Incubation Engineering Department at GitLab, you will be working on projects that are pre-Product/Market fit. Your focus will be on moving fast, shipping, getting feedback, and iterating on ideas that may contribute to our revenue in 3-5 years' time.
We utilize Single Engineer Groups (SEGs) in our Incubation department. Your role will encompass all of product development; from product management to engineering, design, and quality at the smallest scale. You'll learn from, and collaborate with, larger departments at GitLab.
This SEG we're hiring for is focused on our Vault Secrets Rotation offering. Our aim is to create a secrets management solution that automatically rotates secrets in both CI pipelines at runtime, as well as into an already deployed running application. We can iterate towards this solution by integrating with existing well known tools.
The Incubation Engineering team works transparently and posts weekly updates to YouTube. You can see the team's latest updates in this Youtube playlist .
