Quantum Research Centre - Quantum communications

We are a young, dynamic team developing the next generation of quantum communication devices. The team leaders are experienced in developing commercial quantum devices through to application.

Our goal now is to become one of the world leaders in the emerging quantum communication market. As part of the Technology Innovation Institute’s Quantum Research Center, we are well resourced, with all the necessary facilities to deliver on our development goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototyping software stack for quantum key distribution systems
• Data processing, session management, network communications protocols and cryptographic key exchange protocols for third party devices (APIs)
• Build a software development team
• Participate in full-cycle R&D projects, discuss concepts with scientists and business development experts, analyze problems and propose software solutions
• Supervise outsourced development
• Participate in lab and field tests
• Prepare high quality documentation for further product scaling

Requirements

• Relevant 4+ year experience, preferably in telecom or information security
• Leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency at modern project management instruments for software development
• Problem solving
• Proficiency in programming C/C++, Python prototyping
• Experience in communications protocols/network software
• Hardware related software development
• Experience with software development processes and lifecycles
• Knowledge of standard software protections and techniques

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in related fields (computer science, electrical engineering, physics, math)
