    The Role

    The new SEAM organization integrates Safety, Environment & Asset Management activities, with a broad geographical footprint, that will support Shell’s business & assets around the world.

    The vision of SEAM is to provide capability across the spectrum of Safety, Environment and Asset Management with:

    • Shaping the future ways of working through introducing to the business new technology and news way of working, including e.g. digital, SBO, and real-time, data-driven, end-to-end optimization and risk management, but also global programmes like Human Performance Based Safety Philosophy.
    • Providing performance feedback driving disciplined execution to deliver reliable, predictable results
    • Helping the businesses build their improvement plans and provide support to execute them
    • Sustaining performance through strong core capabilities (internal, including SBO & contingent) through building expertise and a company-wide consistent approach

    The incumbent will be expected to play a key role in driving change to optimize the reporting systems and processes and providing the performance data and insights required to support the Goal Zero journey

    The Sr. Process Data Engineer- SPI Admin will be part of the VP TAO organization

    The VP TAO will be accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell’s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.

    Job Purpose

    Provide support to Shell’s OUs by administrating/detailing the drawings through tools such as Smart plant instrumentation and Auto-Cad.

    Business Dimensions

    The role is expected to be the expert in administrating/detailing of RLM updating of instrumentation drawings using as Smart plant instrumentation, basic knowledge in other discipline technical drawings and closely engage with OU in updating & suggest improvement solutions on enhancing the overall quality of work.

    Also provide training and support to other designers while replicating best practices from stakeholders and partner organizations.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Relevant experience in onshore/offshore Oil and Gas industries in process engineering in FEED, Detail Engineering and As-built process.
    • SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) typical administration tasks including Site-Plant creation, application database fitness and maintenance, Plant Break Down Structure (PBS), User management, backups, Projects scope and merge, and audit of SPI databases used by other contractors
    • Deliverable’s customization: reports, datasheets, drawing templates, wiring schedules, loop diagrams, hook-ups and other diagram types
    • Develop SPI related Specification Documentation, templates, implementation plans for the projects
    • Good knowledge of SPI database schemas and tables, ability to write own SQL queries, training of others within the group and support project documents:-Instrument Lists
    • Wiring details and schedules
    • Loop diagrams including Smart Loops
    • Instrument data sheets
    • Cable specification and schedules
    • Hookups

    • The role primarily involves the remote support to the Shell operating units/sites in the drawing management & updates.

    Education/Experience:

    Mechanical/Process Engineering Degree with at 6-8 years of work experience in

    • Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industry - operating assets and/or a varied range of greenfield/brownfield projects.
    • 6-8 years of total experience in the setup and administration of Hexagon tools (SPI) preferably in Oil & Gas industry
    • Should possess knowledge in SPI and have exposure to managing global projects
    • Experienced with the working systems and environment of Hexagon systems used in the execution of projects preferably in Oil & Gas industry
    • Knowledge in Information Management and Integrated Engineering Systems processes and principles
    • Good data base, spread sheet and VBA skills required
    • Reviewing and report generation.
