Look no further, The Cloud Compute team is driving the way technology services are hosted and delivered within Motorola Solutions by integrating public cloud services into the existing on-premises services framework. The Senior Cloud Engineer position is involved in designing, automating and supporting Multi Cloud environments.

Scope Of Responsibilities / Expectations

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor being able to articulate and present solutions and their associated business value to internal customers, team members and management.
• Day to Day Support AWS, Azure and other cloud environments.
• Ensure monitoring and backups are functional.
• Develop scripts to help with repetitive operations tasks.
• Ensure OS Provisioning scripts are maintained and functioning properly.

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills

• Experience in supporting AWS or Azure environments
• Experience with AWS Components such as EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, RDS, Cloudfront.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Containers
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible
• Experience in working with teams using Agile methodologies like Scrum
• Understanding of ITIL service management framework
• Self-motivated team player who demonstrates initiative and flexibility
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AWS or Azure.
• 2+ Years of experience with Python or equivalent
• 2+ Years of Unix and Windows System Administration experience
• Self-motivated team player who demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills Listed Below a Plus

• Cloud Certifications (Azure, AWS, OCI)
• Experience with microservices and container orchestration

Education/Experience

• BS Degree in Computer Science and/or related field
• Cloud Solution Architect Certification
