Appspace is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, reviewing and monitoring the day-to-day security controls and configuration of the cloud environment
A Day in the Life of a Senior Security Engineer :
Directly manage and configure Google Security Command Center, Google BeyondCorp Enterprise, Google DLP, Google Key Management, Google IAP and Google Web Scanner.
Responsible for managing, reviewing and monitoring the day-to-day security controls and configuration of the cloud environment through a number of security monitoring tools.
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of cloud information security applications, tools, and systems. (Email Security, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning, Firewall Security Rules, Cloud IAM, etc.)
Participates in activities and strategic initiatives related to information security, product releases and other compliance related processes and programs
Provides technical guidance to the infrastructure and systems team to enforce cloud security controls.
Strong understanding of the OSI layer as it relates to the security threat landscape
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge from Layer 4 and above to secure cloud, web, digital and mobile applications further up the stack
Responsible for creating reference architecture documentation for the security environment
Hands-on experience with managing security operations by creating alerts, performing log correlation, creating threat intel feed and ingesting logs via the SIEM.
Demonstrate hands-on experience with hardening systems and understanding OS services related to hardening the system.
Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
The individual will be working in a hands-on engineering role and will be directly responsible for managing the IAM, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Firewalls and other operational security tools.
What You’ll Need
10+ years of experience in network, systems, security engineering and cloud operations
Demonstrate experience working in a Google cloud security environment
