Responsibilities :
Mapping and Localization Engineer is responsible for development and maintenance of mapping and localization algorithm / software. This enables or enhances perception, path planning and prediction of the autonomous driving system.
Development of 3D high-definition mapping & update technology
Development robust localization technology
Qualifications :
Strong C/C++ and object-oriented programming skills
Experience in SLAM related fields (e.g. pose estimation, probabilistic filtering, and 3D data processing, registration, etc.)
Ph.D., M.S., degree in computer science, electrical & electronic engineering, or equivalent experience
Preference :
Solid understanding on optimization, linear algebra, probability theory and 3D geometry
Understanding of basic characteristics of various sensor(LiDAR, camera, IMU, ...)
Excellent at problem-solving skills
Ability to understand and implement the latest technologies
Fluent in version control systems and bug tracking tools
Experience with autonomous vehicles or robotics
Experience with ROS
