Job Description :

We are looking for a Software Engineer, eager to work with our small but elite engineering team to build the software systems running and fueling our state-of-the-art trading strategies.

As a Software Engineer at QIS, you will be:

• Taking ownership of significant parts of our trading system
• Working closely with other engineers and researchers to design complex technical solutions from scratch
• Critically analyzing both existing and proposed solutions and pro-actively providing feedback
• Consistently adhering to best practices
• Reviewing code and making significant contributions to our software systems
   

What you will need:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep knowledge and understanding of at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, C++ or Rust
• Experience in software testing (unit tests, integration tests, etc.)
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as Algorithms & Data Structures, Software Design Patterns, Networking and Operating Systems
• Experience working with (at least some of): Containerization, REST APIs, Messaging Systems, CI/CD, Linux Environments
• Passion for writing clean, testable code and a strong believe in automation
• Some experience with cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• An up-to-date overview of current technology and industry standards
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in English
   

Nice to have (but not required):

• Experience working in (algorithmic) trading and interacting with (cryptocurrency) exchanges
• Experience working with (trading) cryptocurrencies
• Experience working with Research Teams, Data Scientists and AI models
• Experience in deploying and maintaining production infrastructure
• Experience retrieving, storing and processing large amounts of data
