About The Python Developer (one-year Direct Contract, Renewable) Role

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality business solution for the company and its clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Take an engineering-first approach to automate operating our DevOps tools and services
• Ensure DevOps services are highly resilient and available through best practice architectures
• Build and maintain a strong developer relationship (DevRel) culture with the project's stakeholders
• Define and set strategy on SDLC best practices with strongly opinionated positions and facilitate the adoption of these practices
• Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps product portfolio with a commercial approach
• Identify friction points within the SDLC life cycle and work to eliminate those points via automation
• Work with developers and the IT staff to oversee the code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. Create and implement systems software to analyse data to improve existing ones, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace

To succeed in this position, you must have a minimum of one year experience with Python development.

Key Requirements

• At least five years in DevOps roles
• A self-starter who demonstrates strong ownership and a sense of urgency
• Willing to work hard and eager to learn new languages
• Engages with customers to achieve positive outcomes
• Analytical and possesses good troubleshooting skills
• Works effectively in an agile framework
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to work in extended hours
• Familiar with SDLC
• Source code management knowledge is a must
• Python and PowerShell knowledge is a must
• Ansible knowledge is preferred
• Java or C# knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge on basic Network configuration is preferred
