    Role: Programmatic Trading Solutions Engineer

     

    Reports to: Head of Trading & Operations, SEA

     

    Location: Singapore

    Job Responsibilities

     

    Our Solutions team

     

    Our Solutions team covers two distinct but complementary remits: Solution Consultancy and Solution Engineering. Our Solution Consultants are responsible for technical presales, analytics and tech strategy for our clients, and Solution scoping. Our Solution Engineers are the technical experts responsible for delivering custom solutions and progressing our client’s programmatic maturity.

    As a Trading Solution Engineer at MiQ your time will be spent delivering custom solutions for our external stockholders (clients & partners) and internal stakeholders (trading & product teams) using MiQ technology, data science, and data sets; developing new proof of concepts for our clients or iterating our existing solutions to drive further improvements for our advertisers. You’ll work closely with our trading, data & analytics and product teams to deliver impactful solutions which deliver better connected marketing for our clients.

     

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Project Management
      • Manage existing internal & external projects - ensure project objectives are delivered in a timely fashion and to a very high quality
      • Ensure documentation is to a very high standard, both tech and client friendly and is easily accessible
      • Deliver tasks before deadlines. Set ambitious, but realistic expectations, create buffers and allow time to manage stakeholders
      • Proactively chase own work and update managers accordingly
      • Understand different working rhythms and time zones to maximise productivity globally
    • Scoping requirements
      • Support Trading, Product & Sales to critically assess and question project briefs to gain a thorough understanding of required deliverables
      • Innovate on new and exciting ways to explore analytics, automation & other technical challenges for a broad set of clients & stakeholders
    • Hands-on solutions development
      • Build/develop custom solutions utilising MiQ backend, data & automation capabilities
      • Provide coding/scripting solutions for automation work across trading & product projects
    • Support SEA Innovation
      • Work closely with Head of Trading & Ops on driving the innovation & automation roadmap for trading and other teams
      • Effectively collaborate with Head of Trading & Ops and Product leads on developing innovative cookieless and other solutions and drive cookieless adoption across the region
    • Internal collaboration
      • Adapt approach to different stakeholders, e.g. face to face, email or online messaging
      • Approachable; available for colleagues to collaborate with and brainstorm with colleagues to include them
    • Client communication
      • Keep clients informed and engaged throughout a project’s delivery
      • Build rapport with clients – capable of flexing communication style with varying roles and levels across a client team
      • Consult with existing clients and help them to enhance existing solutions further MiQ
      • Present solutions effectively to existing clients, demonstrating the value of a solution
    • Entrepreneurial & Commercial thinking
      • Staying on top of programmatic trends, and identifies ways to apply latest developments to MiQ Solutions
      • Consider how Trading Solutions at MiQ are seen in the industry, ideate how to proactively position us in the market as a leader
      • Assess gaps in the market and research technological advances in order to keep MiQ at the forefront in the market

     

    Required Experience

     

    • 2-4 years of experience in a technical analytics/data role
    • Experience working with traders, data scientists, analysts, and data engineers (working with trading & product stakeholders in Southeast Asia is a plus)
    • Experience and demonstrable track record of building & deploying innovative custom solutions for trading or product teams in Southeast Asia

     

    Required Skills

     

    • Advanced SQL skills. Advanced Python and R skills are essential
    • Computer science background and data engineering knowledge/understanding
    • Basic understanding of mainstream DSP’s and targeting/optimisation technology
    • Attention to detail and the ability to proactively solve problems
    • Desire to build innovative technical solutions that support programmatic maturity
    • Curiosity and an interest in ongoing media and ad-tech developments and broader digital marketplace trends
