The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for development of key technology for Apple products. We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Precision Molding Engineer to work on advanced optical assembly development.

Key Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the area of precision molding

Hands-on experience operating and problem solving on injection molding equipments

Extensive knowledge in mold tool structure and designs

Experience in high accuracy lab metrologies such as profilemeters and CMM

Ability to use 2D/3D CAD and related simulation software

Good knowledge of molding materials such as plastic and polymers

Description

As a Precision Molding Engineer, you will be working on development of advanced molding technologies for optics, perform hands-on work with injection molding equipments and metrology equipments. Analyze data to draw conclusions to enhance tooling design and manufacturability, Failure mode analysis, Root cause analysis and problem solving cooperating with cross-functional teams. You may periodically need business travel to support technology development with related suppliers and partners.

Education & Experience

B.S./M.S. in Science, Technology, Engineering or equivalent field

Additional Requirements

Experience working on high precision mold parts regarding optics

Experience of molding plastic material for optics

Experience on measuring aspherical shape or freeform shape
