The Full Stack Web Developer – building and maintaining public facing products for use by the general public and b2b. These products will integrate with the Acurity and XPLAN software platforms.
The candidate will have good knowledge of Java and web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. A development focused degree or significant previous experience with development methodologies and best practices is mandatory. A reasonable knowledge of the Australian Superannuation domain and/or exposure to basic accounting is desirable but not mandatory.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop and maintain software programs in accordance with programming specifications. This includes (but is not limited to):
Strong Java development skills
HTML, CSS/SASS and JavaScript development (React)
TypeScript experience is preferred
Liaise with Business Analysts, Development and Quality Assurance team members to clarify technical requirements and implement the required functionality.
Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues and defects within the scope of Acurity functionality.
Provide client support to address specific client needs
Work independently and be self-sufficient, whilst having the skills to work collaboratively with business representatives, development and quality assurance team members.
Be flexible and responsive to fulfilling other duties as required.
Contribute to IRESS’s continual drive for Process Improvement
Participate in reviews of functionality from a technical and security perspective.
What You Will Need
IT / Computer Science degree or other tertiary qualification related to development and / or development best practices.
1-2 years minimum working experience as a developer using Java and web related technologies.
Desirable - Practical experience with superannuation technology systems
Desirable - Knowledge of the Australian Superannuation domain
Desirable - Knowledge and development experience using the IRESS product set
