About The Java Developer (AVP) Role

In this business critical role, you will be contributing to quality assurance by writing unit, integration and functional tests including contributing to problem and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and executing delivery for CLM technology within a Continuous Development Continuous Integration (CDCI) environment
• Contributing to quality assurance by writing unit, integration and functional tests. Leading Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Developing source code, including descriptions, for all software components in accordance with software requirements specification, the functional design and the technical design document
• Designing components and processes, interacting with analysts and programme teams as appropriate
• Contributing to problem and root cause analysis
• Ensuring successful code quality via code reviews
• Supporting the creation of Software Product Training Materials, Software Product User Guides, and Software Product Deployment Instructions

Key Requirements

• Six or more years of development delivery experience, with at least four years of delivery within Agile SDLC/teams with CDCI
• Demonstrated experience of developing in Angular JS, Bootstrap, React JS, REST APIS. Use of Oracle RDBMS, JMS and similar message busses
• Experience of Spring, Spring Boot, and similar libraries and Spring Could, Docker. Experience in BPMN technologies, such as JBPM, Activiti or similar
• Know-how of Cloudera Hadoop, SCALA, or similar
• Understanding of how to develop unit testable code using testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber
• Proven experience in developing middle-tier applications
• Demonstrated experience of developing/reviewing code in Java/Testing code, and similar technologies such as Scala, Hadoop and Oracle RDBMS
• Practical experience with build tools (preferably Maven), source code control (preferably Git), and continuous integration (preferably Jenkins, or TeamCity, Hudson)
• Experience in Information Technology (IT) change projects and a project/programme environment
• Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
