About the role:

Be part of a fun, proactive team selling innovative software and professional services solutions to NZ enterprises and organisations. We have been successfully delivering IT Service Management and Professional Services solutions in New Zealand for 10 years and due to on-going growth, we require an additional Graduate Software Developer to join our Auckland team.

On a day to day basis you will be involved in a variety of activity based around software implementation projects, this work will include meeting with clients, taking their feedback and implementing software enhancements as well as providing support with any technical issues.

What will I be doing?

IKC will provide you with all the necessary training, support and advice to grow into a role within the Implementation team, this team supports new clients in implementing the software ensuring the least disruption, best experience and most valuable outcome from the product for all their clients from large multi-nationals to smaller niche businesses.

Here are a few things you will be doing when you first start with us:

· Shadowing senior members of the team to learn the intricacies of the product.

· Helping to test the solution during product implementations.

· Interacting with clients to resolve the more simplistic technical issues.

And here’s what you will be doing once we have passed on all of our wonderful knowledge and you feel ready to become a fully trained member of the implementation team.

· Work independently, or as part of a team, to plan, develop, test and document product solutions and upgrades

· Be a liaison with both technical and non-technical clients to ensure they’re getting the most they can from their implementation

· Ensure technical deliverables to customers are complete, consistent, high quality, on time, and deliver valued outcomes

· Guide a customer down a prescriptive solution design and manage through the technical implementation decision points

· Define solutions across the platform that align to out of the box capabilities

What skills/ experience do you need to be a good fit for this role?

· You need to be technically savvy; this doesn’t mean you need to be a world-famous hacker! You just need some prior experience in writing code, any language will do even if you’ve just written a tiny bit of HTML for a friend’s website that’s fine! You just have to understand the basics and be willing to build on that.

· You need to have good prioritisation and time management skills. There might be times when all your clients want your attention you need to be able to manage your time and prioritise effectively.

· You should have good communication skills; you will be speaking with clients frequently so you need to be comfortable with that.

· You need to be keen, we want you to love working at IKC and get as much as possible from us in the time you spend here.
