    Job Description :

    As a supra-regional power grid operator, Austrian Power Grid AG (APG) is in the midst of developments to make Austria fit for the energy transition of the future. With its infrastructure, APG represents the basic framework of the Austrian power supply and is responsible for ensuring that Austria is supplied with electricity around the clock. A great responsibility that can only be borne with motivated and satisfied employees.

     

    In the sense of a regulated succession planning in the Austrian Power Grid AG at the Vienna location, we are looking for a:

    Full Stack Software Forecast Developer 

     

    Your new challenge -

    Operational support of existing forecasting processes, systems and interfaces (expansion, adaptation, maintenance)

    Analysis and realignment of existing forecasting processes, systems and interfaces for the flexible solution of complex energy forecasting tasks

    Realignment of existing forecasting processes, systems and interfaces for the high-performance processing of large amounts of data in the energy industry

    Participation in the selection of the technologies, processes and tools to be used as well as the further development of existing

    Handling of the entire software development process from analysis, design, programming, testing to ongoing operation


     

    For this you need

    Completed technical studies (TU/FH, Dipl.-Ing. or Master) or comparable professional experience with a focus on computer science or comparable several years of professional experience in the field of big data, software development, interface development

    At least 2 years of professional experience in the fields of software development / data engineering is an advantage

    Very good knowledge of MS-Office, very good programming skills in R, Python, Javascript and data interfaces (REST, web services, OPC)

    Knowledge in the practical handling of databases (SQL, NOSQL) and experience in agile software development are an advantage

    Good knowledge of German and English

    Willingness to perform weekend services (half-days in each case)

    Ability to work in a team and affinity for dealing with large amounts of data round off your profile
