Junior Full Stack Developer
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be in the driving seat at a company that aims to change the status quo in commodities commerce. We are looking for a full stack developer to join our team and build a new product as a greenfield project.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own the full stack development of our platform and its underling core features, including the bidding engine, freight API integrations, insurance brokerage and payment processing
Develop front-end engineering solutions for client order platform interactions
Build efficient and secure back-end management of data processing, management and storage
Build efficient UI and smooth, coherent UX components ready to be used by millions of buyers and suppliers
Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and Product Manager to scope, estimate, design and build new product features, owning their development from A to Z
Improve code architecture and infrastructure to keep up with growing expectations on the product
Lead smaller technical projects and wearing many different hats
Be part of creating a strong engineering culture, valuing testing, experimentation and agile processes
Your Qualifications & Experience
1-2+ years of experience in front-end/back-end building scalable software solutions in tech businesses (experience in marketplaces, ecommerce, or fintech preferred)
Working knowledge of developing tech infrastructure built for speed and scalability and operational knowledge of deploying and maintaining a platform on the cloud
Solid experience and understanding of applicable programming languages such as Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/React Native, Angular, PostgreSQL, RESTful, AWS and Web APIs in general
Comfortable moving between front-end and back-end technologies, even if one of these domains is not your core expertise
