Position Details
LINK Business Enablement Platform Section is working on Rakuten LINK application which is a communication app deeply integrated with Rakuten ecosystem and other businesses.
We are looking for a new team member who shares a passion for making high quality services.
Work with cross-culture and global team consisting of full stack engineers and product managers to create pragmatic products.
Design and develop highly available, high performing and consumer friendly APIs and associated Unit Tests to ensure quality of code.
Develop user-friendly Web UI features by collaborating with UX designers.
Perform code reviews, contribute towards improving platforms and services.
Work Environment
The LINK Engineering Section consists of over 100 engineers working in multiple locations in Asia and Europe.
The team is established from many different cultures from around the world, bringing a unique feel to the team and the way we work.
Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
Demonstrated experience in REST API design and development for Web:
Strong understanding of secure web development practice
Experience with micro-services
Development experience with 1 or more of the following technologies : Node JS /ExpressJS, C#/ASP.NET Core and/or similar technologies
Experience in database technologies such as MySQL / PostgreSQL / MariaDB, etc
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience in agile scrum methodology
Business level English
Desired Qualifications
Experience with building High Performance and High Availability APIs
Familiarity with UNIX command-line
Experience with Kubernetes / Docker or related technologies
Experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis)
Experience in Front-End technologies such as React Js, CSS3/Less/Sass, Webpack, Javascript (ES6) or Typescript development and test frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine
