Main Tasks

• Join our Product Team for API Management and support us in providing innovative solutions to enhance the product quality in the entire API Management area.
• You will be responsible for the technical design and development of our own developed applications for the API-Management. Beyond that you will support respective testing and error correction activities.
• You will drive the further design and development of our BASF Integration Hub, BASF Developer Portal and in future support the setup of our decentral API-Gateways.
• You will ensure runnable, supportable, and stable solutions from a technical and operational point of view.
• Consulting of projects on the setup of integration scenarios in the area of API-Management
• Setting up API-Proxies on our API-Gateways

Requirements

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)

• Background in computer science, information technology or a comparable technical professional training
• Deep know-how in the area of web application development (frontend and backend)
• 4-5 years’ Experience in programming languages such as Javascript, Typescript, PHP and frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Hugo, Core UI, Docsy…. ) either one.
• Handling of CI/CD pipelines including orchestration tools, GIT repositories, test tools, code quality tools and deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, JMeter, JSLint, Maven)
• Know-how about Developer Portals, OAuth, Drupal, Docker, Kubernetes,
• Experience in Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and in development projects (conception, realization, testing, documentation and support)
• Creative and motivated working style with a strong focus on innovation
• Excellent communication skills in English which define you as an effective team player

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Additional)

• Know-how in the area of APIs, Open-API Specifications, API Design and Development, Apigee Edge or SAP API-Proxy development
