Job Description :

As the Full Stack Developer you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing and improving digital products for Wristcheck, helping us to grow and scale to a global stage. We’re looking for people who are passionate about building first-class products and pushing Wristcheck forward technically by adopting new technologies and setting high standards. You’ll report directly to the Product Manager and work in a fast growing, dynamic and international team. This role is based in Hong Kong and we accept international applications for those willing to relocate or work remotely.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work in a cross functional team of Product Managers, Designers and Developers to develop and enhance both web and mobile products
• Write high quality, maintainable and testable code that follows engineering best practices
• Drive internal code quality, knowledge sharing and development
• Optimize features to maximize performance and scalability
• Perform UI and API testing
• Implement defense features against security threats, bots and malicious actors

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar technical field
• 5 - 8 years of experience in Fullstack Development, ideally for a marketplace or luxury e-commerce company
• Track record of scaling and maintaining high-traffic production systems in previous positions
• Experience with server driven UI architectures, patterns, and API design
• Solid experience with Java, Rails, Python or similar web application frameworks
• Proven knowledge in Modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Front end programming from Figma designs
• Able to work with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres) and key/value stores
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks
• Strong project scoping and project management skills
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development lifecycle (including deployment, testing, debugging & monitoring)
• Self-motivated, responsible, able to work independently and under tight deadline
• Comfortable to fail fast, learn and recover to come back stronger than before
• You are a naturally curious person that enjoys learning new things and sharing your knowledge to uplift and mentor the entire team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and you can clearly and effectively communicate with senior stakeholders
• Understanding and appreciation of watches is a plus but not a requirement - we’ll teach you everything you need to know
