Are you looking to jump into a brand new project where you can be hands-on throughout the entire software development lifecycle?

With ‘remote-first’ work the norm, this is a great opportunity for a senior full stack JavaScript developer to jump into an exciting project that will be adopted by a large development team.

You’ll be working with a dynamic, innovative company who are also one of Australia’s leading private health insurance providers - nib. With a focus on their digital experience team, you’ll be helping to create a platform for testing including tools, frameworks and automated tests.

You’ll be involved each step of the way and will help your peers and wider team learn how to use what you’ve created. This wider team focuses on the development of nib's public facing websites, mobile apps and white-label platforms.

You’re someone who loves to be programming each and every day and the thought of developing something from scratch excites you. You have a ‘tinkerer’ mindset, using refined problem-solving skills to create quality software.

You don’t necessarily need to have a background in software testing, but instead have a willingness to learn and take this on. Experience working with APIs will also be highly regarded.

To go that step further, as a senior developer you will bring an architectural mindset and be an advocate and thought leader for quality development. You take a practical approach to your development and use critical thinking to find the best solution.

What You Bring

• Commercial experience working with React, JavaScript, Node.js AND/OR similar modern technologies
• Experience working with cloud services (nib use AWS, but any experience will be regarded)
• Experience in an agile or scrum environment
