The Role

GoGet is looking for a passionate Flutter Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team, in Malaysia first, and ASEAN long term. The central goals of the role are:

1. Be a team player in the Flutter team.
2. Learn and grow from team members on maintainable and efficient codes.
3. Code, test and document each deliverable according to the practice of GoGet’s Software Development framework.

This role will entail building and maintaining mobile application with great quality. You will work closely with the Product Engineering team members to achieve the above goals. The right candidate should be a techie at heart, willing to learn & open to feedback and have an unruly desire to innovate.

Learn and progress as a Flutter Engineer

1. Work with existing Flutter application for Android and iOS platform
2. Write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
3. Integrate Flutter application with backend services.
4. Develop, maintain and enhance technical documentation.
5. Consult experts when necessary.

Consistently improve the code quality and build releases

1. Nurture and enforce best and appropriate technical practices.
2. Learn and implement automation or efficient methods and tools to achieve technical excellence.
3. Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design and overall architecture.
4. Build automated unit, widget and integration tests for the application.

Who will you work with?

We work as a team, and your role is to be a great team player with the Product Engineering team and any other teams that may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Flutter Mobile development (projects, personal projects, self R&D).
• Familiar with iOS / Android system framework, platform UI design and lifecycle.
• Good understanding of state management packages (Bloc / Provider / Riverpod).
• Deliver work under the fairly close supervision of a more senior member of the team.
• Familiar with code version control (GIT)
• Able to work as a team.
• Able to identify and fix minor bugs with minimal help.
• Apply technical insight to business problems.
• Understand basic concepts of code and data efficiency and scalability.
• Willing to learn and take feedback.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
