The role and your team

You will be part of a team responsible for delivering Alfa Systems throughout the application lifecycle.

Your role with Alfa will involve software development and an opportunity to strengthen your consultancy skills. Throughout a career at Alfa our consultants get involved with a wide range of work, from application support to delivery of sales demos, from thought leadership on solution architecture to in-depth user training.

New recruits are given an intensive induction into areas such as the asset finance industry, software development and consultancy skills. Supervised at all times by more experienced consultants, recent joiners will find that the open culture means they also have easy access to senior managers for discussion and guidance. With some help from their colleagues, our newest consultants will be helping to change the way businesses work from the very start of their career.

Key skills, knowledge and attributes we're looking for:

• Applicants must have a grade average of Credit and above (or equivalent) degree
• 1+ years experience in a commercial environment
• Experience with structured systems development and languages such as Java, Delphi, C, XML and HTML
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise with senior client personnel
• Outgoing personality, smart personal presentation, and the ability to combine initiative, a logical approach and problem-solving skills
• Readiness to remain hands-on in the long term and enthusiasm to lead a project team in the future
• Flexibility to work outside of New Zealand when required. In the longer term, when sufficient experience has been gained, opportunities exist for secondment to Australia, the US and UK.

Location

Our New Zealand team members are based in Ellerslie, Auckland, though we work under a Hybrid model. Located in easy access with trains and buses.
