Job Description :

We are looking for Dev Ops Engineers with experience in Data Science to support our partner DigiKoo (part of Westenergie AG) in Essen, Dortmund, Neuss and Wesel.

The effects of climate change are no longer a distant threat - they are becoming increasingly local and tangible! DigiKoo supports municipalities and their companies in the climate turnaround by predicting the future of the climate turnaround on site in a way that promotes cooperation. For that DigiKoo develops a cloud-based software platform that enables clients to access future scenarios that take into account all developments of the energy, transport and heat transition in a geographically definable and thematically selectable manner

Your responsibilities

• Further develop the Azure Cloud infrastructure and design the deployment process (Helm, Argo, Git Ops)
• Responsible for static data analysis, processing and cleaning of the data, which is used in further data science solutions (Python stack)
• Design and Maintain ETL-Batch processes
• Check compliance with relevant security recirements for sensitive data (IAM, key management, encryption)
• Design database schemas and optimize current database procedures in PostgreSQL and PostGIS

What you should bring with you

• At least 5 years of experience as Data or DevOps Engineer
• Good experience with Azure
• Good experience in data processing (Python stack)
• Experience with Kubernetes and GitOps principles
• At least B1 proficiency in German language

Optionally you already have

• Experience with agile methods
• Interest in climate change mitigation and derive concrete goals for your own area of responsibility from higher-level strategies
