An exciting opportunity surfaces in The Floor’s Hong Kong office, to join The Floor’s Data Team as a Data Analyst. The candidate’s main duty will be to clean, enrich and analyze vendor data in order to present actionable insights to our client banks. The candidate will gain knowledge of the financial services industry and the supporting technologies through the process. Given this is an entry level position, we WILL NOT consider applicants who have more than one year of full time experience.
What you’ll do:
Clean and normalize unstructured vendor data so that they can be used for generation of intelligence and insights.
Become a Subject Matter Expert in Financial Services and a wide range of technology domains
Take part in designing banking and technology taxonomies that substantially improve the vendor visibility for our clients.
Analyze a wide variety of vendor companies and their offerings to identify their value propositions and offer accurate comparison and optimization suggestions to our clients.
Engage with clients and provide them with insights into innovation trends across a wide range of technology domains and make recommendations for suitable solutions
Actively research, analyze and propose novel data sources and data acquisition procedures to improve the quality and breadth of data provided by The Floor Platform
Perform quality control to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data collected by third-party vendors
Liaise with the R&D and Product team to develop new platform features, data tools and data architecture.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or above in Economics, Finance, FinTech, Information Systems, Data Analytics or other IT disciplines
Less than ONE year of full time experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Previous experience in the banking or technology industry, especially in research setting is an advantage
Experience in handling data, especially with new and progressive data tools
Attentive to detail and accuracy
Self-driven with the ability to work on research tasks autonomously with minimal direction
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize under tight deadlines
Flexible and adaptable: willing to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with others for optimal results
Proficiency in written and spoken English
