Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
We re looking for experienced cloud software engineers to join us. You will be part of astrong, agile, and modern team culture drivenengineering team responsible for implementing high-quality, battletested common tooling and IaC solutions enabling IBM Cloud Services, external partners, and customers to strengthen theirsecurity, compliance, resiliencyand stabilityposture.This technical role is focused on designing, and developing common base solutionsand toolsfocused across infrastructure automation, resiliency,and security. This role involves work with many service teamsand partners. Helping partner teamsto extend thesebase solutions into reference architectures and specific industrysolutions andhelping service teamsdirectly adopt the base solutions.Strongproblem-solvingskills, teamwork, and the ability to learn quickly,be motivated to learn,andpassionate about technology are key.
What you ll do:
Researching, designing, and developing highlysecure, compliant, available common base automation solutions/tooling, using technologies like Terraform, Python,GoLang,NodeJs,Bashin an IBM Cloud context (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, DevOps pipeline) and beyond(Akamai).

• Identifying opportunities and acting on improving existing tools, frameworks and DevSecOps workflows
• Documenting and sharing your experience with other teams
• Becoming amajor contributor for designs and implementation efforts of theIBM Cloud Services ecosystem

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
B.E/B.Tech degree in Computer Science from a reputed university/college.
Self-Starter who is a fast learner of technology and willing to experiment to find the best solutions

• Strong / Expert Level Linux Skills with a strong background in troubleshooting
• 5 years overall experience in Development or Engineering experience.
• 2-3 years of Cloud experience; IaaS and PaaS for on-prem and/or public clouds (IBM, AWS, or Azure)
• Solidsoftware development skills, with a proven track record in developing quality software solutions(ideally Terraform, Golang, Python, Nodejs, Bash experience)
• Software engineering experience(solution design,architecture,quality,rigor,robustness, long-term view, code reviews, verification points, testing models)
• Experience in working with Cloud infrastructure (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai, )
• Security / compliance experience. Knowledge of main industry accreditations -ideally knowledge for NIST controls(800-53).
• Experience in automating DevOps pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Travis, Tekton)
• Knowledge of IBM Cloud is a plus.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience in havingwritten and deployed code that runs in a production service in the Cloud and have demonstrated knowledge in reliability (DevOps) and security (DevSecOps).
